Beginning in July 2013, Bryn Mawr Hospital leadership started quietly requesting support from a few key constituents for a campus modernization project that would benefit community members from every generation, and for generations to come. In September 2015, For Every Generation – The Campaign for Bryn Mawr Hospital was publicly announced.
Through the inspired and inspiring giving of more than 600 individuals, corporations and foundations, we surpassed our fundraising goal of $30 million one year in advance of the campaign’s end date and concluded the campaign on June 30, 2018 with more than $32 million raised. The For Every Generation capital campaign now stands as the most successful fundraising endeavor in the hospital’s history.
We can’t thank our friends, neighbors and colleagues enough for their generous contributions and their endorsement of the important relationship that Bryn Mawr Hospital has with this community.
By early February 2019, the entire 257,000 square-foot, seven-story pavilion—which sits at the very center of campus, nested into existing buildings—will be fully operational, with all-new operating rooms; new labor & delivery, neonatal intensive care and maternity units; a new intensive care unit; and two inpatient units for medical/surgical patients. Visitors will access the pavilion facilities through a completely renovated Warden Lobby, as well as the new light-filled, two-story J. Mahlon Buck, Jr. Family Atrium.
We can never stop improving! Work will continue on the façade of the hospital’s main entrance along Old Lancaster Road to improve the structure as well as patient accessibility, after the pavilion opens.
